Alumina and oil shale mineral processing (ARC Linkage projects with Alcoa and SPP, a significant contribution to this knowledge base)

Thermal processing (bauxite activation, supported Comalco’s patented technology)

Uranium minerals processing leaching (Treatment of tailing and enhanced understanding of uranium mineral leaching from Olympic Dam)

Use of Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy to study surface properties of copper minerals to enhance understanding of copper sulphide mineral leaching from heap leaching processes.
